Ütonga, the new album from Shadyzane

December 18, 2012

Finally I have a chance to introduce the new album from Shadyzane, composed, recorded, produced by me, and mastered by Taylor Deupree.   The album is called Ütonga. This title comes from Maori, meaning to harden, harm or badly affect – perhaps this is a reference to my New Zealand origins.  Perhaps.   Released on Matter Records, you can stream it here.

If you wish, you can purchase digital downloads in all the normal places, including iTunes, but possibly Bandcamp is the best place to buy.

The album features a few of my usual collaborators - Alistair White on trombone, Hutch Demouilpied on bass recorder(!), Wayne Nunes on bass and Chris Hutchings on drums.
