The process of recording a new album has started. Last week the first recording session took place at Dean Street Studios in London. A personal project that I’ve been waiting to get out for a long time and one that I want to involve as many as my co-conspirators from the last 20 years in London as possible. On this session I was so lucky to have Rachael Lander, Alistair White, Alex Hutton, Jody Linscott, Nick Kacal and Dave Shulman.

I was in New Zealand recently to present a masterclass at the Screen Composers Guild of NZ and took some time out to visit one of the most amazing beaches on the west coast just out of Auckland – Muriwai.
For those of you who happen to be in New Zealand, I’ll be presenting a workshop for the Screen Composers Guild of NZ in Auckland next month, focussing on my work as a composer for film and television. Supported by APRA, the guild aims to be a forum for composers to connect, share ideas and knowledge and to promote and grow the art of screen composing in New Zealand to build sustainable careers for established and upcoming musicians.
The workshop is free for APRA or SCGNZ members to attend and will take place at the APRA offices on Tuesday the 21st February from 6pm.

I’ve compiled a few of the cues from the One Killer Punch score together.
I recently composed the music for the 2016 Christmas campaign of Finnish retailer Stockmann.
