Lost Children (UK, Ch4)
Every year, 6000 children are excluded from British schools. High Close School in Berkshire, run by Barnardo’s, is home to some of the most troubled. This extraordinary residential and day school looks after children with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.
With intimate access to staff, pupils and families this two-part documentary series tells the surprising and touching stories of two of the school’s most challenging children: Josh, and Courtney. Filmed over a year, we follow the ups and downs of their education at school, and in parallel we explore their family histories to discover what made them the way they are.
